I think Final Frotier should get more credit. The crew had really good chemistry in that movie. I thought it was amazing!
I know that this might piss off some diehard Trekkies on this post, but definitely the 2009 Star Trek reboot. I love that movie, I really do. Not only is it a great Star Trek film in my book, but also a great sci-fi action film as well. I love the way they build Kirk and Spock as characters in this film. Even Uhura (played by the beautiful Zoe Saldana) gets some character development.
But anyways, I love that Spock kind of has this battle going on between his human and Vulcan sides. He has a hard time controlling his human emotions, and that's what I love so much about his character. And I also really love that as each movie came out, Spock and Kirk became less like enemies and actually became very good friends (kinda like Gimli and Legolas in a way). I also love how Kirk doesn't start out as captain and he has to work his way up there, if you know what I mean.
The action, the visuals, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Chris Pine as Kirk. No matter what you think of it, all of those things make it a pretty kickass film. JJ Abrams has proven to be a very competent director when making this movie. If you haven't watched it yet, give it a try.
