Borg

I really like ENT regeneration, and think it's one of the best star trek episodes. However, one thing that doesn't make sense is the borg can survive and function effectively in the cold temperatures of space (-270.45°C), and yet they got frozen in the ice and snow of the arctic (-40°C). Why couldn't they survive in the arctic, if they could survive in space? Do you think that makes any sense, and why?

How many borg cubes would it take to assimilate all of the federation, romulans, klingons, cardassians, ferengi, and dominion?

Who really controls the borg, and makes decisions for them?

Is it the collective of individuals themselves (but how do they achieve consensus, or choose a leader), borg queen (or queens), central plexus, vinculum, or someone, or something else?

The Borg mentioned virtually all the time that everything is irrelevant and/or futile, and it's always in response to whatever one says or especially in their line "Resistance is futile." Suppose maybe that implies that the Borg were nihilistic? With nihilism being all about how everything being pointless and/or useless, coupled with the Borg calling everything irrelevant and/or futile, it kind of suggests nihilism on the Borg's part. Thoughts?

Hypothetically, if the borg had assimilated the sol system (including earth) while voyager was in the delta quadrant, where would voyager and its crew have chosen to go when they returned to the alpha quadrant (with a return to earth that's different than the one in VOY endgame of course)?

Would they have chosen to go to another federation planet, like vulcan, or betazed, and if so, which one, and why, or would they have gone somewhere else, and if so, where, and why?

Assuming that the Borg have ever assimilated any Gorn, do we call them the Gorg? Semi-lol.

How would the Borg reproduce and grow? Do they go through gestation periods like many other humanoid species in Trek? Do they just assimilate babies into their collective, and how would they do that? What would happen if a pregnant woman got assimilated while expecting??

Which species make the best borg drones, and why? What qualities make them good borg drones?

For example, in VOY the raven, seven mentioned that talaxians' dense musculature, and vulcans' enlarged neocortex which produces superior analytical abilities made them excellent borg drones, so clearly some species are better suited to being borg drones than others.

Why did VOY's crew often seem to be able to defeat the borg so easily (like in VOY dark frontier, and unimatrix zero), if the borg were supposed to be very powerful?
