Given the role that both the Eugenics Wars of 1992 to 1996 and World War III (2026 to 2053) had to play in the events that led to the future, particularly First Contact, in the Star Trek universe, I for one am considering seeing two prequel shows dedicated to those events, like Star Trek: The Eugenics Wars (also including Khan, since both he and his fellow augments were involved) and Star Trek: World War III depicting America's thermonuclear exchanges with the Eastern Coalition. Maybe even a Star Trek: Post-Atomic Horror show revolving around the post-atomic horror that arose after the end of the Third World War. They've been referenced to multiple times throughout the franchise, as well as verbally put into detail, but it might be curious to see exactly how they were carried out in the Trek universe. However, I also totally understand if anyone has any objections, knowing that Star Trek isn't violently depressing.
"The Phage", introducing the Vidiians, premiered on this date, 6 February, in 1995. Personally, I think of this episode as "Neelix's Lungs"...
Of note, Cully Fredricksen, who played the Vidiian Honatta, Dereth, also portrayed the Vulcan Captain who made first contact with Zefram Cochrane in the feature film Star Trek: First Contact.
