According to Memory Alpha, this episode takes place in late 2269.

About 10 years earlier, in 2259, Uhura was on Valeo Beta V another one of those little ice-bound worlds where... spoiler: Hemmer is infected with Gorn eggs then jumps to his death.

I am absolutely gutted that they killed off Hemmer. As much as I am liking the characters in SNW, Hemmer was my favourite character so far in the show.
