Kathryn Janeway

Was just rewatching Scorpion. In p. II, when Kathryn, Tuvok, Seven and her drone crew beamed onto Voyager last minute, was it b/c that 8472 bioship kamikazed into the Borg cube or was it an accident?

In VOY day of honor, seven told janeway she wouldn't try to contact the borg anymore, but later, in VOY the raven, she tried to contact the borg again. So why did she lie to janeway?

The emh disobeyed orders, and committed some pretty serious treason, and betrayal of voyager's crew in VOY flesh and blood. However, he got no punishment for it, because according to janeway, he was just behaving like a flesh and blood person, and being himself. She even called his actions an away mission.

By comparison, paris disobeyed orders, but didn't commit treason, or betray voyager's crew when he decided to help the moneans in VOY thirty days, but he got punished with thirty days in solitary confinement, and a reduction in rank.

Do you think the emh should've been punished for his actions, and if so, what kind of punishment should he have received?

Why would starfleet accept the maquis (traitors to the federation) joining voyager's crew, after janeway gave them field commissions? For that matter, why would janeway ever allow them to be part of her crew?

What do you think about these decisions janeway made? You can discuss other examples too.

Did she make good decisions throughout VOY? Was she a good captain?

- Should she have destroyed the caretaker's array, or used it to get her crew home (VOY caretaker)?

- Should she have authorized the exchange of voyager's database for the spatial trajector (VOY prime factors)?

- Should she have been willing to sacrifice voyager to save the rakosans (VOY dreadnought)?

- Should she have restored neelix and tuvok, or let tuvix continue to live (VOY tuvix)?

- Should she have tried to go after arridor and kol, or just let them stay on the planet, and taken the opportunity to use the wormhole to get her crew home (VOY false profits)?

- Should she have formed an alliance with the borg to defeat species 8472, and get safe passage through their space (VOY scorpion)?

- Should she have gone back in time to change history (VOY endgame)?

Was Janeway just dispatching ships to certain situations like she did Nemesis on behalf of Starfleet Command, doing handshake tours like Paris or is she getting ready to take command of the Dauntless to find Capt. Chakotay?

In VOY false profits, do you think janeway was foolish to try and capture the two ferengi (arridor and kol), especially after it was obvious they wouldn't return to the takarian homeworld anyways, instead of immediately using the barzan wormhole to get her ship and crew back to the alpha quadrant? If so, why was she so foolish?
