So I was watching the Tholian Web and near the beginning, Chekov asks, “has there been a mutiny on a starship before?” And Spock responds “No record of such an occurrence.”
I just think that’s hilarious because it fits perfectly with Discovery where Burnham commits mutiny (which Spock knows) but he is not lying because all records of Burnham were wiped at the end of Season 2 (at Spock’s suggestion)
I was just watching the SNW/LD crossover and it got me thinking about how Khan remembered Chekov. Since Chekov was not in the TOS's 1st season, could he have been a lower decker at the time before TOS's 2nd season. I just remember what Koenig or Meyers said in a behind the scenes feature that Khan could have met chekov in the bathroom. Sounds like something that Boimler and Rutherford would do for arriving guests if they were assigned to clean lavatories aboard the Enterprise & Cerritos for dignitaries. I'm hoping we might see Chekov and others pop up in SNW's upcoming seasons. Do you think Checkov is in the lower decks somewhere in SNW or is still finishing up at the academy?
I hope Walter Koenig (Pavel Chekov) and George Takei (Hikaru Sulu) both make it to 90 and still be alive by 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030 and a bit later. This would be REALLY great since they were cast members of "Star Trek: The Original Series" which first aired in 1966 and if they were still alive a few years from now after they make it to 90, this would keep the original Star Trek legacy alive and active.

The fact that Khan Noonien Singh recognized Pavel Chekov in 'The Wrath of Khan' is repeatedly refered to as a "plot hole". But it's not a plot hole.
The fact is: just because Chekov wasn't a bridge officer at the time - does NOT mean that he wasn't a member of the enterprise crew.
Even if the writers forgot that Walter Koenig wasn't yet a cast member during the production of 'Space Seed', it can be assumed that Chekov still existed in the Star Trek universe. And if both 'Space Seed' and 'The Wrath of Khan' are canonically accurate, then this would be the most logical explanation.
I really hope that this helps to further Memory Alpha as a whole.
Thanks For Reading!!!
