The United Federation of Planets is evil and it has Neytiri, Skeleckians, and Gamora in it, and they won't win the galaxy. Let's defeat the United Federation of Planets together. Starfleet's evil will not be tolerated. Let's vanquish Neytiri and Starfleet.

With all their insight into the connections between space, dimensions, time, and thought, the Travelers would definitely give the Q a good run for their money, if you catch my drift. Plus, if a Traveler was given Q powers, I think that'd be quite a potent mix if they used those combined abilities for others' benefit.

In the article Bipolar Personality Disorder, and in Futures End, Part II and in episode they call it “Bipolar Personality Disorder” instead of Bipolar Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder. Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder and bpd is a personality disorder, they’re different disorders. Me and others have tried to change it but it got changed to just admins being able to change it. It offends me and others that it says “Bipolar PERSONALITY disorder” instead of just one of the two. I understand it says that exactly in episode now but it is still bothersome to me because it is misinformation. Could someone possibly change it? If not it’s ok.
For a brief moment in 2401, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard is Chancellor of Starfleet Academy (“The Star Gazer”, PIC 2x1; Picard is offered the post of Commandant of the Academy in 2364 [“Coming of Age”, TNG 1x19], but turns it down).
Then the whole Borg/Q/Supervisor/Traveler time travel to 2024 happens…
But when that is all sorted out, we do not see Jean-Luc Picard return to this posting. What happened?
Did the time travel create a new timeline wherein Picard was never Chancellor? Did he not go back for personal and/or professional reasons? Did he resume this posting, but we have not seen it (yet)? I feel Jean-Luc would be an excellent Chancellor for the Academy.
I was watching "Tapestry" (TNG 6x5, fantastic episode & a personal favorite) and I was struck by a similarity between this offering and "The Enemy Within" (TOS 1x4).
In "The Enemy Within" we see that it is the 'evil' Kirk that possess the Captain's command abilities.
While not a "Jekyll & Hyde" tale, in "Tapestry", we learn that if young Jean-Luc Picard was not a "cad", a "hell-bent for leather" arrogant hot head, if he were more restrained and careful as a youth, he would not have risen to command, but would be a dedicated, steady, reliable, punctual junior officer who was bereft of passion & imagination, and was never noticed by anyone.
Do you think it is so, that it is the "negative", "undesirable", or "dark" traits that provide people with leadership or command abilities?
I forgot which day Star Trek was came out but I think it was this one. Happy StarBase day!
It's late, so I'm not going to scour this site or the net looking for my 'bright idea'. Hadn't seen an original Trek for a month or so. Happened upon "The Squire of Gothos".
Maybe everybody in the world's already noticed, but didn't Trelane seem like the very precursor for "Q" in TNG?
Childlike, gets anything they want, extensive powers, etc.
Idk, maybe it was just me.

Picard: I could check some sub-space messages on the panel here next to the door while I wait, thanks Q ✅

Were the q so advanced that they reached their maximum evolution potential, or did they continue to evolve (albeit maybe in a slightly more subtle way)?
I just watched that episode and I know it’s not cannon that he is a Q. But I just got to thinking about that and wanted some opinions.
Just saw guinan's conversation with q. Still can't believe that q is dying. I thoughtthey were immortal unless they are made mortal like quin. His actions probably made the q mortal. Still surprised that q is losing his powers. Thought it was going be like quin's suicide attempts where he did not do what he wanted to.
Could the borg assimilate q or changelings (founders' species)? Thanks to @Chasemarc for originally posting this great thread. 😃

Someone once semi-jokingly commented, in a comment of a YouTube video on season 1 of Star Trek: Picard, that Jean-Luc Picard is basically "the Captain America of Star Trek", to which I semi-jokingly responded, "Captain Federation?" So here I am thinking, what if, in an alternative Star Trek timeline, Picard was a superhero with a shield like Captain America's, but all blue like the Federation flag and with the seal of the Federation in the center? Perhaps that ought to be explored in an episode of a show that explores alternate timelines like What If...? but titled Star Trek: Parallels, named after The Next Generation season 7 episode "Parallels", and narrated by Q instead of Uatu the Watcher.
This may be relatively old news, but I for one am somewhat disappointed that this great program isn't planned to proceed any further after its planned three seasons. But then again, as Q once said in Part 2 of "All Good Things...", "All good things must come to an end." I'm just really gonna miss seeing Jean-Luc....
