Assuming the equinox's crew became part of voyager's crew (and were forgiven for exploiting the nucleogenic lifeforms), what would ransom have done with his time, and what job and leisure activities would he have had on voyager, since he was a captain?

Could Captain Rudolph Ransom, the rogue captain from Voyager, be related to Commander Jack Ransom, the XO of Lower Decks?
Sorry for late Edit, but I had a related theory.
Is it possible Jack Ransom is a homage to the actor Tim Ransom, who played the Genetically Modified human Jack on DS9?
