Star Trek series

So I recently finished watching every episode in its entirety of PRO (just like I did with LD, and TOS-ENT a while ago).

Here's my review and opinions of it:

Summary:

PRO is an intriguing and worthy star trek show. Its characters are fun and endearing. It has a good combination of drama, comedy, adventure, mystery, and of course sci-fi. It's entertaining for kids (although it has a lot of drama in it), but also for adults as well (especially since it stays true to other star trek shows).

Story: 6/10.

PRO's plot of a pretty generic super villain trying to destroy the federation and time travel are pretty typical and common, but still pretty good. PRO is heavily serialized, with both seasons basically being one long story arc. However, some individual episodes are very interesting and original, especially the ones with wesley and the loom, the planet of non corporeal entities, or the starfleet impersonators.

Characters: 8/10.

The cast of kids are made up of really fun, unique, different and interesting characters that are very well portrayed. The special guest legacy characters (janeway (both versions), chakotay, the emh, wesley, and beverly) are excellent too, and compliment the main cast really well. Although, it would've been awesome if they could've also included barclay.

Writing: 8/10.

The show has great quality writing, that's believable for its characters, and stays very true to the style (especially the technobabble) of other star trek shows, while also being very contemporary.

Animation: 7/10.

The supporting characters are decently animated, but they look like characters from old video games. The main cast characters are very well animated. Everything else (ships, sets, space, planets, etc.) are also very well animated.

Voice acting: 8/10.

All the actors really gave great, realistic, enthusiastic, and entertaining performances, especially from the new actors, but also from the old actors. They really made the show interesting.

Conclusion:

Overall PRO is an excellent show (if you like cartoons), and one of the better star trek shows.

I just realized how elegant, amazing, and detailed the animation (CGI) is on PRO, and from what little I know about the show, how much it seems to stay true to canon.

I've only seen a few parts of some episodes of it, so could any of you PRO fans let me know what the basic story of the show is, and why some of you have said it's actually the most like the berman era shows of all the new shows?

Also, does it only appeal to kids, or is it interesting for adults too?

What are the most boring star trek episodes, and why? What would you change about them to make them better?

What are your favorite non star trek movies that are like star trek, and why?

I like the star wars movies, because they have a somewhat similar universe with cool aliens, ships, planets, technology, characters, and stories.

Which episodes/stories deserved more of a follow up in other episodes, what kind of follow up would you have chosen, and why?

Here are some of my choices for follow up episodes/stories:

• TNG encounter at farpoint (exploring what happened to mccoy)

• TNG the naked now (data and yar could've had a relationship)

• TNG conspiracy (the alien parasites could've made other appearances in starfleet)

• TNG unification (learning more about sela, romulan society, and the dissident movement)

• TNG cause and effect (exploring what happened to bateson's crew)

• TNG relics (exploring what happened to scott)

• VOY equinox (the story of the equinox should've been a multi episode story arc)

• VOY unimatrix zero (exploring what happened to the independent borg)

Lots of fans often criticize TNG season 1 for its poor quality overall, except for some great episodes. However, while it had some bad episodes, it was actually good enough that it got TNG renewed for more seasons, and successfully rebooted the franchise. Do you agree? What do you think about it? What are your other favorite TNG seasons, and why?

Why is SNW apparently so popular, especially among the new shows? Do you agree? What do you think about it?
