Star Trek: Lower Decks

Maybe it was already answered somewhere, but I couldn't find it. So... is Star Trek: Lower Decks considered canon? If so, TAS has to be canon too. I'm finally watching LD and I've seen some TAS references scattered here and there.

TBH, it's a great episode and makes me so sad this is the last season.

For anyone interested, Tawny Newsome (Beckett Mariner), Eugene Cordero (Sam Rutherford), & Jerry O'Connell (Ransom) appeared on the 10/14/24 episode of @fter Midnight. If you're unaware of what that is, it's a game/talk show for comedians. Similar to "Whose Line is it Anyway" but with TikTok videos. It's currently available on Paramount+

I was having a Scream marathon last week and it got me thinking about when O'Connell sang that Top Gun song in Scream 2. I loved that scene & felt sorry that he got killed at the end. Now that LD is ending, i wish they had a musical for LD like they did for SNW. His wife was great in that musical episode & seems like they would be great for their shows. He had a nice voice back then and would fit in with the LD hijinks we've loved for the last 4, going on 5 seasons. What do you think?
