In one of the articles that I shared with all of you in one of my prior posts, this is verified. Personally, if Section 31 is successful, and something tells me that it probably will be, I for one will HAPPILY watch the film Star Trek: Picard in a heartbeat. Make it so! Engage! Tea, Earl Grey, decaf, PIPING hot.
How much was Prodigy's 2nd season was like Back to the Future?
I just know the temporal mechanics involved in the Infinity's rescue of Gwyn seemed like everyone was trying to think 4th dimensionally as Doc Brown once said. Crusher also also acted a bit... odd like Doc Brown (Course he is more like either Dr. Strange or Who) Also, I know the 2nd season finale was around the First Contact day attack in April of 2385 as seen in Short Treks & Picard. I'm wondering if the USS Prodigy was commisioned in October 2385? If so, It would be about 400 years after the First Part. Were there any other references to Back to the Future that i missed.?

With Star Trek: Picard, I understood, because season 1 premiered immediately before the COVID-19 pandemic began and season 2 came out in 2022. But with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, you'd think that they'd have mastered all the technology to make all the visuals as realistic as possible, assuming that these darn strikes haven't delayed it any further. I'm just shocked, that's all I'm saying.
Attention, all United Federation of Planets citizens and Starfleet personnel. Happy First Contact Day! Celebrations will be held in designated recreational areas during regularly scheduled alpha and beta shift breaks. All directors, please submit final duty log prior to shift change. #StarTrek. #StarTrekTheNextGeneration. #StarTrekPicard. #UnitedFederationOfPlanets. #Starfleet. #StarTrekFirstContact. #FirstContact. 🖖
Bought this off the Star Trek Shop a week and a half ago. We finally got it set up in my room just now. That now makes two Star Trek posters in my room, the other being a little older (but still cool) and sitting just right over my bed. Plus, as opposed to the other, which is based on a promotional image of the Enterprise-D as seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation, this one is based upon the painting of the ship seen in the Captain's Ready Room aboard and later in Chateau Picard in the opening episode of season 3 of Star Trek: Picard (2023).
Neat, huh? (Sorry the image isn't the best, I just took it with my phone camera). Make it so. Engage! Tea, Earl Grey, decaf, PIPING hot. 🖖
The cast and crew were on contract to run for eight seasons, but they cancelled after season 7, disappointing and/or puzzling most of them, as it was an out-of-the-ordinary decision to make for a show as successful as it was. According to the rest of the franchise's developers, though, the decision was made because Deep Space Nine premiered in the shadow of season 6 of The Next Generation, so it would've allowed some to watch more of the then-new show. Plus, they were also making the first plans for Star Trek: Voyager. Although the cinematic torch had been passed from the crew of the Original and Animated Series in Star Trek: Generations, knowing of this, coupled with all the unmade episodes, kind of makes me wonder a little what Star Trek might've been like season 8 had been allowed to proceed, and if they still would've made the T.N.G. films, and what forms they would've taken if season 8 had proceeded as originally planned. (That's not to say that I regret getting Star Trek: Picard or Strange New Worlds or any of the T.N.G. films, 'cause I don't; I'm just contemplating the possibilities, that's all).

Old news aside, such a show's possibilities could potentially be infinite....
