In Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Spock introduces Valeris and says she was the first Vulcan to graduate the academy at the top of the class. This surprised me because I’d figure that Spock would have also graduated at the top of his class. Thoughts?

For a brief moment in 2401, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard is Chancellor of Starfleet Academy (“The Star Gazer”, PIC 2x1; Picard is offered the post of Commandant of the Academy in 2364 [“Coming of Age”, TNG 1x19], but turns it down).
Then the whole Borg/Q/Supervisor/Traveler time travel to 2024 happens…
But when that is all sorted out, we do not see Jean-Luc Picard return to this posting. What happened?
Did the time travel create a new timeline wherein Picard was never Chancellor? Did he not go back for personal and/or professional reasons? Did he resume this posting, but we have not seen it (yet)? I feel Jean-Luc would be an excellent Chancellor for the Academy.

If you ask me, though, contrary to what this article suggests, maybe Christmas is celebrated, we just don't see it on-screen.
Would anybody else like to see a series set primarily at Starfleet Academy.? I think it could be just as good as the other shows.
San Francisco, a city on Earth, is the location of Starfleet Academy and Starfleet Headquarters. Notable individuals from San Francisco are Hikaru Sulu, George and Gracie. Also located in San Francisco is the Golden Gate Bridge.

Earth, located in Sector 001 in the Alpha Quadrant, is the capital planet of the United Federation of Planets. Starfleet Headquarters, Starfleet Academy, and the Office of the President of the United Federation of Planets are located there. In orbit of Earth is Earth Spacedock, a major hub for ships in the Alpha Quadrant. The dominant sentient and sapient life-forms on Earth are Humans, although the Voth and Dolphins also come from Earth. Seeing as it is the planet we live on, I think it makes the perfect starting point for the Location of the Day.

Given the changes in the timeline that the arrival of the Narada brought about in '09 Star Trek, to accommodate the dossiers and histories of those films' timelines' characters, vehicles, etc., I would like to propose that dossiers and histories for the Federation, Starfleet, Starfleet Academy, and Section 31 from that timeline be assembled. And as such, the title of their articles including "alternate reality" in parenthesis, as the others do. As such, I might recommend this flag to be included in the alternate timeline's Federation's dossier and credited as its flag (even though the actual Federation flag is also included).

If the Alpha and Beta Quadrants are located within the Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy, then what's the name of the arm that the Delta and Gamma Quadrants are located in? I've been wondering this for some time now, and I was hoping to hear something on this from a fellow Trekkie or Trekker. And don't worry if none of you have any answers. I understand.
Anybody knows who has to go there and where others go? Doctors go to medical school and Obrien said engineers dont go their either. Made me wonder whether only Security and Comand has to go there. Any thoughts on this?
