USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D)

I also got to meet both Jadzia and Ezri Dax earlier on, in addition to Gorn stunt actor Bobby Clark and the Enterprise-D bridge set builder from season 3 of Picard. They're all just amazing people. 🖖 Edit: I also got to meet Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, Ed Speleers, Evan Evagora, and Wil Wheaton.

Bought this off the Star Trek Shop a week and a half ago. We finally got it set up in my room just now. That now makes two Star Trek posters in my room, the other being a little older (but still cool) and sitting just right over my bed. Plus, as opposed to the other, which is based on a promotional image of the Enterprise-D as seen in Star Trek: The Next Generation, this one is based upon the painting of the ship seen in the Captain's Ready Room aboard and later in Chateau Picard in the opening episode of season 3 of Star Trek: Picard (2023).

Most crew quarters on the EntD have impressive sloping windows like the ones on the top of the saucer. But have you ever thought about the rooms on the bottom of the saucer? Do they have floor windows?

Did any enterprise before the enterprise d, like the enterprise c, have a holodeck? If so, which one, and was it as advanced as the enterprise d's holodeck?

I prefer SNW doing an upgrade of the TOS bridge over PIC reproducing the TNG bridge in faithful detail. What do others prefer?

I just finished watching "The Last Generation", the last episode of Picard, and after seeing the final scene with all the T.N.G. crew together, it makes me wonder: we never saw Laris again after the season started weeks ago. Suppose maybe she arranged diplomatic security on Chaltok IV, like she and Picard discussed in that first episode? I for one would've liked to have seen Picard introduce her to his Enterprise-D and -E crew in the final sequence, but nope. I just really liked her character, overall. More than that, though, I respect her.

Why do some think that the Enterprise-D and, by extent, the Galaxy-class are "ugly", if you don't mind my asking? As someone whose favorite iteration of the Enterprise is the D, it just strikes me as confusing and strange, especially since some haven't explained why they think it's ugly.

Call me biased if you have to, but I'll always love the Enterprise-D and the Galaxy-class, but that's just me, of course. 🖖

Like the rest of the crew, it was just a total dream come true to see the Enterprise again.

The only ones who's names doesn't start with "J" are Christopher Pike and Rachel Garrett.

I for one personally prefer the Enterprise-D first and foremost. It was armed with virtually every Starfleet function, from exploration to science to diplomacy to defense, as the Federation's flagship basically should. Plus, the design was the sleekest, the crew aboard had the greatest chemistry, they tackled the greatest motifs and themes worth exploring during their mission, and of course, it was commanded by none other than Captain Jean-Luc Picard, the finest and most definitive example of a Starfleet officer.

Otherwise, I just love this lovely rendition of the ship that we saw in "Remembrance", the pilot of Star Trek: Picard two years ago. As for yourselves, just feel free to let me know in the comments section below.
