Excited for this series, but the dialogue in Giamatti's end speech was kinda lame, TBH.
The third choice (All new ship, all new characters, classic spirit) doesn't make sense to me.
TBH, I'd have to think about this alot more, but I'd like to see a series focused on the unexplored parts of the Beta Quadrant.
The 10th anniversary one seems the most timeless. The 40th is decent. The others seem very dated.
@QueerAutisticDragon ahh, I see. Yeah, it is definitely Trek inspired.

I do like the nacelles on the Bluebrixx, but hard to vote for sets by companies that are just copies of LEGO.
^ Did I ask?
He was a fine captain, but I prefer Science SARU.
Not the best rhyming, but cute. Love for there to be more holiday songs Trek-ified.
Is this the most WTF post of recent memory or what?
@Lakerfan NO ONE returned to a 4th film. I did really like Quinto as Spock, though.
@Anastasia Cousins I hope you're not making your decision based on the WIkipedia entry.
^ According to Deadline and not a direct quote, from what I can tell.
Forgive me for my diversion, but I'm with @Scyphi that I'd like to see a vessel named after a non-human character. I'd need to think more, but Spock is the obvious choice.
I'm not sure we can give credit to Skydance for any risks until we know more about the project. A full green light is a risk... announcing a project in the works is very low risk.
Restarting Stargate with an actual series is a risk. Let's hope neither project gets canceled.
@JMills095 thanks.
@Scyphi okay, so you don't have anything specific, just that since he is heavily involved in SFA, he might have contacts in Paramount leadership that might talk to him about the Kelvin-verse. Not strong, but something.
I have mixed feelings about the potential death of the Kelvin-verse. I was never a fan, but Skydance is in the "prove it" phase of their involvement with Trek for me.
I suppose that makes sense.
Ummm... why would they use "USS"?
