Oberth class. I always thought it looked cool from the first time I saw it as a kid and as an adult I think I’d rather serve on a support ship rather than a ship of the line because TBH a lot of Starfleet work is dangerous af and that’s especially true on more front line ships. I’d love to enjoy traveling through space but without regularly experiencing serious danger.
@JMills095 posted what I would have (and shows his Trekkie cred +1).😄
I like Captain Varley but I don’t like what happens to the Yamato💥.
I believe disruptors don’t seem to regularly have a stun setting. Starfleet weapons are generally supposed to be defensive and a stun setting is important for that role.
@Scyphi yep…they are all great. I voted for the Eddington storyline but I could have just as easily went with Damar’s rebellion.
I loved the scene with the last leader of the Cardassian Union under the Dominion. I forget his name but…wow, poor guy.😛
They all are. DS9 had the drama. This is the best way to do serialized Star Trek.
@JMills095 i always enjoyed the mystery and menace of the sheliac in TNG. That might be a fun call back in Lower Decks or another new series.
I am Tosk.
@Scyphi a primary source for Star Trek writers on cetation ops is the Enterprise D manual initially written for TNG writers - which was polished and packaged for commercial distribution as “The Star Trek The Next Generation Technical Manual” by Rick Sternbach and Michael Okuda.
Since many other shows have used its section on cetacean ops in their shows I’d say yes it is canon. And I think anything from these types of writer’s sources that didn’t make it into an episode is second in canonicity only to stuff actually appearing in episodes. The fact that it would eventually go on to appear in episodes shows that that is how Star Trek creatives view it.
So for any hard core Trekkie I would recommend getting yourself a copy of the TNG Technical Manual. I got my copy as an ebook on Google Play Books. (Probably is only available as an ebook unless you get a used physical copy.) It’s really cool - it’s a in-universe publication written as if a design spec for the Galaxy Class starship as ordered by Starfleet. Fun!🖖
No… 😢
The Moneans’ world was pretty awesome. I hope they had the determination to avert their pending environmental disaster. @JMills095
I voted Viddians as it would be interesting to see them again if it’s true that the “think tank” cured the phage. Otherwise, they are terrifying organ harvesters😱 so…no thanks!
Nanoprobes
They are borg.
Defiant had a pretty bland rec room but it was utilitarian by design. Very compact ship.
Can’t blame anybody for not voting for it.
@JMills095 totally agree except those colored cubes never looked too appetizing.😁
I don’t know why the administrators allow you to constantly trash Star Trek. This is supposed to be a fan site. An occasional constructive criticism is fine but you are constantly trashing Star Trek and it’s obnoxious.👎
Makman12994 clearly hates a lot of Star Trek. I don’t think his continual trashing of Trek belongs on Star Trek Fandom.
Incidentally I liked the TMP uniforms. They certainly diverged from TOS considerably as well, but they sort of have that far-out 70s sci-fi aesthetic that I just personally think is kind of groovy. Solid!✊😎
Shouldn’t Spock be the same color as McCoy and also Scotty seems to have command white too.
