I think for those involved with the creation of the rebooted films, there were some pretty big shoes to fill. It’s a difficult task to reboot such a loved series, and overall I think they approached it rather well. Were they perfect? No, but they still had a lot to offer. I was skeptical at first when I sat down to watch the reboots for the first time, but was actually pleasantly surprised by them. Their approach to using the timeline as a way for more creative freedom was quite clever, and it was interesting how they found a way to tell their story to both longtime as well as new Trek fans. I personally found favoritism with Beyond (2016). I also quite enjoyed Star Trek (2009). I didn’t like Into Darkness quite as much as the other two, there were some aspects that didn’t quite sit right for me personally with their approach to a Wrath of Khan type story, but in the end I don’t think I’d rate it my least favorite Trek film overall.
I thought Tarantino had decided against directing the next trek film?
I know there were plans to make a 4th Kelvin film at one point with the possible return of Chris Hemsworth as George Kirk, but ultimately it was too expensive and the film was shelved.

You will not be forgotten.
Janeway of course!
Borg with cloaking devices sounds absolutely terrifying. Imagine what they could do with that.
@ImpaktBorg that is a really interesting point!
@TBear3079 yes but that’s assuming that all borg are human
Their collective reaches across a wide range of species that likely have very different body functions
Not every creature in existence has natural dopamine in their system
In that case they perhaps would treat them with whatever said species’ chemical equivalent of dopamine is, but that can just over complicate things considering thousands of species have been assimilated.
Plus the Borg collective is absolutely MASSIVE. It would be tricky to get ahold of and maintain such a supply of dopamine
I feel like there’s a little bit too much gray in these specific uniforms. That’s just my thought though.
A bit of a biased place to put such a question 😂
I couldn’t fit them all in the poll, so if there’s another one you like (PIC,TAS, etc.) just leave it in the comments :)

@Commander Avril I actually saw your post, which reminded me of the photo I took. That’s why I’m so confused 😂
@Captain James Terranova the green tunic was made from a different material, which caused it to appear as its original color.
@SkepticType I prefer the gold as well.
@Bluehemiram the issue with that theory is that the reboot uniforms were a more vibrant color and were covered with a pattern of Starfleet deltas, and the Beyond uniforms had a much higher collar and different coloration on the sides.
The Original Series uniforms are known for their colors of Command gold, sciences blue, and operations red. However, this in actuality was not true but later became canon. The command uniforms in trek were actually a shade of green originally, but due to the lighting on set and a few other factors, the command uniforms appeared as gold on television. This color palette stuck, and gold was later confirmed in-universe to be the TOS Command color in DS9’s “Trials and Tribble-ations”
This is where my question comes in. Upon realizing that the green uniforms (not counting Kirk’s alternate green tunic) appeared gold on screen, did they switch the actors’ costumes out for gold? I ask this because of this picture I took (apologies for the quality and blockage, this is a zoomed in photo):
This was taken at a museum in my state, when a Trek Memorabilia event had taken place for a few weeks in 2019 before heading to the next state. As you can see, this TOS uniform is gold, just as we are used to seeing it.
My only thoughts as to an explanation to this are as follows: either
A.) the costume colors were changed
B.) this is a costume from trials and tribble-ations (I can’t quite remember the label for this specific part of the exhibit but I’m quite sure it was for TOS only)
C.) could it be fake? (I don’t think so, but you never know) they may have used a filler uniform as an example.
D.) a possible color fade over the many years since the show originally aired
Does anyone know any information about this or have any thoughts?
I think as an actor, Cumberbatch did a good job, but the issue was rather with how they wrote Khan in Into Darkness. It doesn’t even hold a candle to the incredible Role that Montalbán created.
(not to mention the large inconsistency in Khan’s appearance, which wouldn’t have been effected by the timeline considering he was born centuries before the Kelvin event)
