- Le livre est principalement composé d'articles 'in-universe' produit pour la collection "Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection", complétés de textes, cartes et arts complémentaires.
- Pour les deux livres consacrés au quadrant Delta, la société a recréé de nouveaux modèles CGI pour les quelques vaisseaux de Voyager créés seulement en modèle physique (durant les trois premières saisons) et qui n'avaient pas encore été traité dans la collection.
- Bernd Schneider et Jörg Hillebrand du site Ex Astris Scientia, ont assisté le modeleur CGI Fabio Passaro en fournissant des matériaux de référence pour de nombreux vaisseaux aliens moins connus.
