- "The Hero of My Own Life" était à l'origine titré "Renaissance" mais fut changé lorsqu'il fut sélectionné comme gagnant.
- "Change of Heart" était à l'origine titré "Essence" mais fut changé avant publication.
- La réédition poche de cette anthologie contenait le chapitre 6 de "Starfleet: Year One". Il s'agissait d'un ajout de dernière minute dû au retard de publication des romans censés contenir ce chapitre. L'éditeur John Ordover proposa d'envoyer le chapitre à tous ceux qui étaient irrités de devoir racheter ce volume juste pour Starfleet: Year One.
