- Cette anthologie, ainsi que "A Stitch in Time", a été rétroactivement incluse dans la série DS9 Relaunch, le rendant techniquement premier de cette série. Afin de marquer cette inclusion, l'anthologie fut rééditée avec le nouveau logo de la série Relaunch.
- Cette anthologie était le premier projet développé depuis la conception par l'éditeur Palmieri. Il le décrivit comme l'un des projets dont il était le plus fier. Il fut inspiré par l'anthologie de Ray Bradbury "The Illustrated Man {w}" ("Voyages of Imagination", p.608)
- L'éditeur a choisit de ne pas publier une histoire basée sur l'épisode DS9: "Blood Oath", préférant raconter cette histoire dans un roman qui deviendra "Excelsior: Forged in Fire".
- Bookriot.com a classé cette anthologie parmi les meilleurs ouvrages Star Trek.
