- Bien que l'édition de 1993 de Movie Publisher Services est souvent mentionnée comme première édition, il s'agit en réalité d'une réimpression révisée de l'édition de 1988 de Schuster & Schuster.
- Écrit bien avant l'avènement d'Internet et avant la publication d'ouvrages de référence officiellement approuvés, le livre s'est finalement révélé dépassé, notamment concernant la série originale, contenant de nombreuses inexactitudes et conclusions spéculatives. Aucune source n'est indiquée dans le livre.
