- La sortie de l'ouvrage prévue pour le 28 juillet fut repoussée en octobre puis en novembre 2020, en raison de l'épidémie du covid-19 {w}.
- Richement illustré en couleur, Ben Robinson envisageait cet ouvrage comme une version améliorée de l'ouvrage "Star Trek: Voyager Companion", qui avait reçu un mauvais accueil lors de sa publication en 2003. Dans ce but, plus d'une trentaine de nouvelles interviews ont été réalisés avec le casting et l'équipe de production. Le format de ce livre diffère également de son prédécesseur en présentant de courts résumés de tous les épisodes, tandis que les informations de coulisses se concentraient sur un nombre limité d'épisodes clés.
- Jennifer Lien fut la seule à décliner l'interview de Robinson. Cependant, une analyse des raisons de son départ est fournie dans le livre.
