Len Wein (12 June 194810 September 2017; age 69) was a well-known comic book author and editor.

He worked for Marvel Comics for a number of years and is best known for being a co-creator of DC Comics Swamp Thing and helping revive X-Men for Marvel. He authored eight issues of the Gold Key Star Trek comics in 1971 and 1972:

These issues were reprinted in the second and third installments of Star Trek: The Enterprise Logs, in turn reprinted in the Star Trek: The Key Collection.

Wein also scripted issues #31-37 and #39-40 of DC Comics Star Trek comics in 1986 and 1987.

Wein died on 10 September 2017 at the age of 69. [1]
