- On Earth, cryonics, following the directive of "freeze you now, heal you later", have become very popular and the space module SS Birdseye is launched into Earth orbit. Among its occupants are Clare Raymond, Ralph Offenhouse, and L.Q. Clemonds. The satellite eventually drifts out of orbit and reaches the vicinity of the Kazis binary system by 2364, where it is intercepted by the USS Enterprise-D. (TNG-R: "The Neutral Zone", okudagram)
