- Jack R. Crusher dies on an away mission. Jean-Luc Picard, Crusher's captain aboard the Stargazer, delivers the sad news to Jack's wife, Beverly Crusher. (TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint", "The Bonding", "Violations", "True Q") Following his death Beverly packs up some things, placing them in storage, including a holographic message Jack recorded for his son Wesley in 2348 when Wesley was about ten weeks old.
