765874: Regeneration is a continuation of the 765874 series of short films from the Roddenberry Archive and OTOY.
The two minute short starts off with a focus on a leaf from a plant with insects noises in the background and then to a forest setting of a pool of water with birds chirping. A creek bed of running water and a shuttlecraft flying overhead. A fresh ravine with downed trees and water pooling up as the shuttle fly's over. The USS Enterprise-D saucer section from below surrounded by forests as the shuttle continues its course. A pathway with people crossing next to a metal pillar, shuttlecrafts on the surface of Veridian III, tug ships hooked up to the saucer as if preparing to tow the saucer away. Panned out shot of the saucer section crash-landed on the fog cover trail on the planet.
A figure on Veridian III mountain top walking over to the simple stone cairn of James. T Kirk. The figure pauses and reaches for the combadge of Kirk that was placed there by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. A face slightly appears from behind the robe. The figure stands as the camera pans around this site. From behind the figure turns around and removes his hood to revel Spock.
Spock is then reflected as his younger self in his Star Trek: The Motion Picture uniform. He has a flashback or premonition of the USS Enterprise burning up in the atmosphere of Genesis planet. Spock inhales in an attempt to block emotion and begins to overlook a city with shuttles flying around. The scene ends with the screen 765874.
