Aaamazzara was an inhabited planet. Commander Jerry Goldsmith, a crewmember aboard the USS Enterprise-D, was born on this non-Federation planet.

In 2369, this planet was listed on the chart USS Enterprise Personnel Database, which was seen on Jean-Luc Picard's PADD on aboard the Enterprise-D. (TNG: "The Chase", okudagram)

According to background sources Aaamazzara was the homeworld of the Aaamazzarites, an alien species seen in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. According to Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I"), it corresponded with the real star Epsilon Serpentis and was synonymous with Therbia. The fact that Aaamazzara and Therbia were both mentioned in the same list would suggest they were different planets however.
