Aleksandra Kochoska is a digital effects artist who worked as visual effects (VFX) producer on the first through third seasons of Star Trek: Discovery, all episodes of Star Trek: Short Treks, and the first season of Star Trek: Picard. Promoted to senior visual effects producer, she subsequently worked on the fourth and fifth seasons of Discovery, the second and third seasons of Picard, the first and second seasons of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, as well as the made-for-television film Star Trek: Section 31.
She is married to fellow digital effects artist Ante Dekovic and is sometimes credited as Aleksandra Kochoska Dekovic.
She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2019 for Outstanding Visual Effects for her work on "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2", [1] and in 2021 for her work on "Su'Kal", the latter one she won. [2] This was complemented by two similar 2018 and 2021 VES Award nominations for "The Vulcan Hello" and "Su'Kal". All these she shared with her husband, along with others. A third industry award she was trice nominated for, concerned the 2019, 2021 and 2024 (the last one sans husband, who had left the Star Trek franchise by then) HPA "Outstanding Visual Effects" Awards for Discovery's second, third and fifth seasons, none of which she was able to convert in a win.
