Alex Landi is an actor who appeared as a Bajoran freedom fighter in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Ensign Ro". He received no credit for this appearance and was identified by the call sheet for this episode. He filmed his scenes on Friday 2 August 1991 on Paramount Stage 16. He also portrayed an operations officer in several episodes.

Landi was scheduled to appear in engineering scenes of the fifth season episode "A Matter Of Time" but was replaced by Tracee Lee Cocco, in Ten Forward scenes of the fifth season episode "Power Play" where he was replaced again, and in scenes on the bridge in the episode "Imaginary Friend" in which he was replaced again.

He appeared as an airport passenger and a club patron in the Falcon Crest episode "Dirty Tricks" (1988, with Daphne Ashbrook, Christopher Held, Gene LeBell, Larry Humburger, James Lew, Buck McDancer, Alan Oliney, and Lane Leavitt).

In 1990, Landi appeared as a bar patron in the Cheers episodes "What is... Cliff Clavin?" along with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Thomas J. Booth, Linda Harcharic, Rebecca Soladay, Marijane Cole, Randy James, and Denise Lynne Roberts and "Bar Wars III: The Return of Tecumseh" with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Bebe Neuwirth, Keith Rayve, Ree Kai, Ivonne Perez, Debbie David, Don Bennett, Joycelyn Robinson, Nyra Crenshaw, Natalie Wood, Alex Zimmerman, and Melba Gonzalez.

In 1991, Landi appeared twice in the comedy sequel The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear. He appeared as a gala guest and also as one of the criminal businessmen.
