Alexandra Collins is a former actress who appeared as one of the tailheads in several episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She also worked as a background actress, an alien on location, in Star Trek: Voyager.

Between 1981 and 1997, Collins attended the LACC, LAVC, Van Mar Academy/AFI Conservatory, the National Technical College, the Glendale Community College and the Pasadena City College. Early in her life, between 1964 and 1974, she worked as model and commercial actress in New York for the Ford Modeling Agency. After she worked as tape ministry director for the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood for five years until 1989, Collins worked as paste-up graphic designer for J.S. Graphics, cable show intern on Century Cable, and since 1997 as stagehand with IATSE Local 33. This included running the spotlight for Staples, Nokia, and the Hollywood Bowl, working at the carpenter shop for NBC, props for The View, electrics on Days of Our Lives, assistant carpenter on Good Morning America, and electric at the American Music Awards and the Grammys.

Beside her work on Star Trek, Collins was a regular background cop on Bakersfield P.D. (1993-1994, starring Tony Plana) and a regular background scientist on seaQuest DSV (1993-1996, starring Stacy Haiduk, Marco Sanchez, Stephanie Beacham, Rosalind Allen, Frank Welker, Richard Herd, and W. Morgan Sheppard) and Babylon 5 (1994-1997, starring Claudia Christian, Andreas Katsulas, Bill Mumy, Patricia Tallman, Caitlin Brown, Robert Rusler, Mary Kay Adams, Tracy Scoggins, and with Bill Blair).

Collins worked as stand-in and background actress for Central Casting between 1991 and 1997 and is also a member of the Screen Actor's Guild. As stand-in she worked for actresses such as Geena Davis, Uma Thurman, Elle McPherson, Suzie Plakson, Kirsten Johnston, Sally Kellerman, Faye Dunaway, Judy Gold and Jenna Elfman.
