Admiral Alonzo "'Zo" Freeman was a male Human Starfleet Command flag officer who lived and served during the late 24th century.

Freeman was from San Francisco. (LD: "Grounded")

In 2380, he was in communication with wife, Captain Carol Freeman of the USS Cerritos. Their relationship appeared to be strained as a result of the questionable conduct of their daughter, Ensign Beckett Mariner. (LD: "Second Contact")

The following year, Freeman informed his wife that "some important people" became impressed with Carol following her battle with the Pakleds, and that she could potentially be promoted to a capital ship, so long as she maintained a positive record. (LD: "Strange Energies")

Later that year, Captain Freeman reported to Admiral Freeman the resolution of the situation involving Ferengi poachers on Frylon IV. Afterward, Freeman warned her about a scam in the local sector, where a con artist would self-destruct their ship and attempt to pin it on Starfleet. (LD: "Mugato, Gumato")

In late 2381, Freeman briefed Captains Sonya Gomez and Carol Freeman on their upcoming first contact mission to Lapeeria. Freeman also took the opportunity to congratulate his wife on her upcoming promotion. (LD: "First First Contact")

In this appearance, Freeman's office was shown to be located in a Spacedock-type starbase, where he may have been posted as the CO of the installation.

In 2381, Freeman maintained a residence with a home office on Earth which had a view of the Golden Gate Bridge out the window. While he considered it home, his daughter Beckett did not. He kept many varieties of green potted plants around, but began questioning doing so with Beckett's habit of throwing them at viewscreens or simply smashing the pots out of frustration. (LD: "Grounded")

Later, Beckett was abducted by Nick Locarno around the time Carol discovered that Locarno was behind the thefts of several non-Federation starships. Shortly before Locarno's announcement of Nova Fleet, the Freemans discussed Beckett's abduction with Admiral Vassery, who ordered Carol not to rescue Beckett until Federation diplomats had contacted the ships' legal governments due to the diplomatic minefield Locarno had created. Alonzo argued that the lower deckers who had joined Nova Fleet were mutineers and had deserted their governments, but Vassery did not budge, pointing out that the mutinies had all been bloodless, resulting in a situation where Starfleet might unintentionally fire first. (LD: "The Inner Fight", "Old Friends, New Planets")
