Alpha Seven was the designation for a Maquis fighter in 2370.
Lieutenant Ro Laren and Kalita used this ship to mount a staged "raid" against the USS Enterprise-D in order to obtain medical supplies for her Maquis cell.
Ro later piloted this ship during a joint Maquis attack of a Yridian convoy, set up as a trap by Starfleet, with Commander Riker disguised as a Bajoran. Laren used this opportunity to defect to the Maquis, revealing the trap to the rest of the Maquis fleet before beaming out to Alpha Nine. Riker was left in Alpha Seven and the ship was salvaged by the Enterprise. (TNG: "Preemptive Strike")
