Andrea Gallo (born 3 March 1990; age 34) is a Venezuelan actress and model who played a sciences crewmember (first on the USS Shenzhou, later on the USS Discovery) throughout all four seasons of Star Trek: Discovery. [1] [2]

She also played an alien sciences crewmember in numerous episodes of the first season. [3] As a background performer, she was not credited for her roles.

She was also considered for a background Klingon role in the first season, but didn't get cast because she wasn't tall enough. [4]

Gallo received a BA degree in Business Administration and Management at the University of Carabobo in her home city, Valencia, Venezuela in 2011. In 2014, she moved to Toronto, Canada, where she received an English Proficiency diploma at ILAC International College. She also took acting classes at the Lewis Baumander Acting Studio in Toronto.

As a model, she appeared in commercials and advertising campaigns in Venezuela, Panama, Curaçao, and Canada. She participated in three beauty pageants in her home country and has been crowned Miss Canada's Top Choice in 2015.

She has been working as an actress, background actress, and stand-in in films and television productions since 2016. She appeared in a 2017 episode of Shadowhunters (with Harry Shum, Jr., Alan van Sprang, and Andreas Apergis) and three episodes of the Canadian miniseries Love of Money the same year. She co-directed, produced and co-starred in the 2020 online comedy series Latinas Wanted.

She made an uncredited appearance in 8-Bit Christmas (2021, with June Diane Raphael and Alex Spencer) and had a supporting role in the 2022 Christmas TV movie A Christmas Fumble (with Jenny Itwaru). She also appeared in a number of short films.
