Lieutenant Anne Nored was a female Human Starfleet operations officer who served aboard the USS Enterprise, under Captain James T. Kirk during the mid-23rd century.

During the early 2260s Nored was involved with and eventually engaged to the famous Federation space trader and philanthropist, Carter Winston, prior to his disappearance in 2264.

In 2269, Nored was a member of the Enterprise's security detail. That year she encountered her former fiancé, only to discover that he was in reality a Vendorian shapeshifter working as a Romulan spy. Despite learning that the real Winston was dead, Nored was unable to kill the Vendorian who had assumed Carter's identity, allowing for his numerous escapes.

Following his eventual capture, Nored was unable to set aside her feelings for Winston despite the appearance of the Vendorian's true identity. She volunteered for his guard detail and wished to discuss possible future plans with him. (TAS: "The Survivor")

Nored was voiced by Nichelle Nichols.

Nored appears in the Pocket TOS novel The Face of the Unknown, in which she is assigned to the Enterprise landing party visiting the First Federation. After rescuing Hikaru Sulu from falling off a precipice within a failing First Federation habitat, she explains that she was able to lift him because before Carter's disappearance, they had helped out in a relief effort on the high gravity planet Pangea (β), and thus she was used to higher levels of gravity.
