Real world article
(written from a Production point of view)

Anthony Pascale is the managing editor for TrekMovie.com, a Star Trek news website. As such, his website was selected in 2006 by the franchise as partner, to keep the Star Trek community appraised on the progress made on the remastered Star Trek: The Original Series project, after they had terminated the original StarTrek.com, the official Star Trek website. Pascale was given exclusive access to CBS Digital in order to interview its project affiliated production staffers, which he subsequently published on his website, being allowed to show previews as well. [1]

Pascale recorded an audio commentary with Damon Lindelof for the 2009 DVD and Blu-ray releases of Star Trek: First Contact. This came about due to his prior contacts with the writers of Star Trek, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, when he kept asking to create a means for the characters of Star Trek: The Next Generation to "pass the baton" back to the characters of Star Trek: The Original Series. This led to the creation of the Star Trek: Countdown comic series. [2]

Pascale was concurrently part of the fixed discussion panel on all four 2009 Next Generation Blu-ray/DVD film "Trek Roundtable" special features, in which he discussed the respective films with Larry Nemecek, Charlene Anderson, and Jeff Bond.
