An anti-grav sled, also known as an anti-grav unit, and sometimes referred to simply as an anti-grav, was a device used to carry objects which were too heavy to lift manually. The technology used was similar to a hovercraft or an anti-grav lift. It contained graviton inverter circuits, transfer coils, and a flow capacitor. The sled produced antigraviton fields.

Reginald Barclay accidentally referred to a flow capacitor as a "flux capacitor" while recounting an embarrassing incident to Deanna Troi in 2366. (TNG: "Hollow Pursuits")

Anti-grav sleds were used on Deep Space 9's Promenade. (DS9: "The Nagus", "Tribunal", "Apocalypse Rising")

Kasidy Yates and her crew sometimes used anti-grav sleds to transport cargo into her cargo ship. Although Benjamin Sisko suggested using the transporter instead, her transporter was a Mk. V, which was ill-equipped to transport unstable biomatter. (DS9: "Family Business")

Several crew members from the USS Cerritos used anti-grav sleds to unload supplies during a second contact mission to Galardon in 2380. (LD: "Second Contact")

During a second contact mission to Apergos in 2381, Ensign Beckett Mariner used an anti-grav sled to unload a dock containing two power washers. (LD: "Strange Energies")

Later that year, a Ferengi worker at the newly-christened Kynk's Mugatoland used an anti-grav sled that was presumably of Ferengi design. (LD: "Mugato, Gumato")
