The Antwerp Conference, shortly before the detonation of the bomb
The Antwerp Conference was a high-level meeting between Romulan and Federation diplomats, held in the city of Antwerp on Earth in 2372. In addition to the Romulan and Human dignitaries at the conference, a Tholian observer was among those present.
The Antwerp Conference was the site of the first confirmed Dominion attack on Earth. An explosive planted by a Changeling killed 27 people, the worst attack of its kind on Earth in more than a century. After the bombing, Federation President Jaresh-Inyo declared a planet-wide day of mourning. (DS9: "Homefront")
The bombing was partly the cause of an attempted coup against the Federation President by Admiral Leyton. (DS9: "Paradise Lost")
