The Appalachian dulcimer was a stringed musical instrument from the Appalachian region of the United States.
In the late 32nd century, Gray Tal owned one of these instruments and stored it visibly with other musical instruments in his quarters aboard a generation ship. (DIS: "Forget Me Not")
