The term Asian, Asiatic or Oriental refers to anything originating from the Earth continent of Asia.

During his initial analysis of the passengers discovered aboard the SS Botany Bay in 2267, Montgomery Scott noted that the crew was comprised of several mixed types, including Western and Mid-Europeans, Latins, and Orientals. (TOS: "Space Seed")

James T. Kirk compared the 2268 scenario between the Kohm and Yang inhabitants of Omega IV to the events of Earth's Cold War, where the Omegans fought a war that Earth avoided, and as a result, the Asiatics won and took over the planet. (TOS: "The Omega Glory")

The Mandarin bailiff in Q's 2364 court scenario was of Asian descent. (TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint")

In a deleted scene from "The Corbomite Maneuver", Orientals were said to have been portrayed as villains in movies regarding the Sino-Western trouble. Admired by Sulu in his youth, they had "drooping eyelids" and "mysterious expressions" that he spent hours trying to copy.
