The term Asian, Asiatic or Oriental refers to anything originating from the Earth continent of Asia.

Admired by Sulu in his youth, they had "drooping eyelids" and "mysterious expressions" that he spent hours trying to copy. Paphiopedilum was an Asiatic genus of orchid belonging to the group Cypripedium. (VOY: "Tattoo")
