Dukat lays injured after an assassination attempt
Assassination is the act of killing an important individual for political or ideological purposes. Those who carry out assassinations are known as assassins, who may be in the employ of a government or other group, or operate independently for hire.
Klingon Emperor Reclaw of the Second Dynasty was assassinated by General K'Trelan. (DS9: "You Are Cordially Invited")
