Scott playing bagpipes
Bagpipes were a form of Earth musical instrument native to Scotland. They were used to play traditional military and religious music in recent centuries.
Montgomery Scott, a native of Scotland, had a set of Great Highland Bagpipes in his quarters during 2268. (TOS: "By Any Other Name")
He played Amazing Grace on the bagpipes in honor of his friend and commanding officer, Captain Spock, at his memorial service in 2285 aboard the USS Enterprise. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
The real-life piper who played the version of Amazing Grace which was used during the funeral scene in the film was Kathleen Nicholson Graham.
