Barcelona was an Earth city located in Spain on the Iberian Peninsula.
Jack Ransom lived in Barcelona for a month at one point, and considered it a sensual experience. He later wrote a number of songs about his time there for the acoustic guitar, with the intention of performing them at his birthday party in 2380. (LD: "Moist Vessel")
The 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona were referenced in the Strange New Worlds 9 short story "Staying the Course".
