Barnes & Noble is a book retailer and occasional publisher based in the United States.
Star Trek-related books it has published include:
- a hardcover edition of Star Trek and Philosophy, published in 2011 by arrangement with Open Court Publishing
- Star Trek: The Classic Episodes, published in 2016 by arrangement with Bantam Books as part of its "Barnes & Noble Collectible Edition" publishing program
In addition to its core retail business, Barnes & Noble has operated as a book publisher by buying rights of out-of-print books to reissue in inexpensive editions as well as by issuing editions of classic public domain books. [1] It further expanded its publishing business through acquisition of publishers J.B. Fairfax [2] and Sterling Publishing. [3] Sterling was rebranded as "Union Square & Company" in 2022 [4] and was sold to Hachette Book Group in 2024. [5]
