Benjamin Lum (9 May 1953–1 January 2002; age 48) was an actor who portrayed assistant chief engineer Jim Shimoda in the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "The Naked Now".

Lum also appeared as a mailman in an episode of Seinfeld of which Jason Alexander was a cast member.
