Beta Epsilon system was a star system that was located in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.
In 2364, this system, along with another, were the subjects of scientific operations undertaken by the USS Tycho. These operations were reduced in scope after a fuel allotment request sent by Captain Alan Kobayashi was denied. (TNG: "Conspiracy", okudagram)
This star system was only mentioned in writing.
In the Bayer designation, which was a system of stellar classification, the Greek letter indicated the brightness of a star in a constellation. In this case, Beta Epsilon would be the 2nd brightest star in its constellation.
