(written from a production point of view)
Bill Reed (born 6 June 1946; age 78) is a former Filmation animator and director who directed the last six episodes of the second season of Star Trek: The Animated Series: "The Pirates of Orion", "Bem", "The Practical Joker", "Albatross", "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth", and "The Counter-Clock Incident", following the departure of Hal Sutherland. However, due to the use of a stock closing credit sequence, Sutherland's name also appears as director of each episode, whereas Reed's credit was stated in the episode's title screen.
