Billy Brown (born 30 October 1970; age 54) is the actor who plays the pilot of the USS Kelvin's Medical shuttle 37 in Star Trek. In addition to his work in film and television, he has lent his voice to several videos games and is also the exclusive voice of US Marine Corps. [1]

Film work[]
Brown made his film debut in the 1993 independent drama Dreamrider, which also featured Leigh Taylor-Young. His first major studio film was Geronimo: An American Legend (with Kevin Tighe and Jim Beaver), was released that same year. Years later, in 1997, Brown appeared in The Beautician and the Beast (featuring Vincent Schiavelli) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
In 2002's The Wild Thornberrys Movie, Brown can be heard as the voice of a rhino. Earl Boen, John Kassir, Brock Peters, Ethan Phillips, Tara Strong, Keith Szarabajka and Alfre Woodard had voice-over roles in this film, as well. Brown then played Private Ottis Brick in Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation (2004, with Ed Lauter and Lawrence Monoson).
Star Trek was the second film he worked on that was produced by J.J. Abrams, following Cloverfield (2008). One of Star Trek's casting directors, Alyssa Weisberg, was the casting director on Cloverfield; as such, Brown and many of his Cloverfield co-stars – including Susse Budde, Margot Farley, Tim Griffin, Pasha Lychnikoff and Kelvin Yu – were brought in by Weisberg and ultimately given roles on Star Trek.
Brown had a small role in Lakeview Terrace (2008, with Ron Glass and Robert Pine), and a supporting role in Race to Witch Mountain (2009, with The Rock, Robert Clendenin, Ike Eisenmann and John Kassir).
Television work[]
Brown made his television debut in a 2004 episode of CSI: NY with Symba Smith. Later that year, he was seen on NCIS, and the following year, he appeared on Cold Case. Brown then landed the recurring role of Master Sergeant Meeks on NBC's E-Ring (with Jonathan Banks, Annie Wersching and director David Barrett).
Brown played the recurring role of Tweety McDaniel on Dirt (starring Jeffrey Nordling, with guest star Sharon Lawrence). Brown also appeared in an episode of Criminal Minds.
Brown had a regular role on ABC's How To Get Away With Murder, alongside Amirah Vann in the main cast and recurring performers Benito Martinez, Famke Janssen and Tamlyn Tomita.
Brown had a recurring role in The Following and joined CBS' Hostages as a supporting lead.
