Billy Hunter is a Hollywood film set designer who worked on 2009's Star Trek.

Hunter collaborated with Star Trek: First Contact set designer William P. Hawkins on the films Sky High (composed by Michael Giacchino), Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (which featured Lee Arenberg and Greg Ellis), and Hancock (2007, featuring make-up by Richard Redlefsen, assistant costume designs by Stacy Caballero, stunts by Justin Rodgers Hall, Heidi Moneymaker, and Rob Mars, location work by Scott Trimble, and accounting by Carrie Carnevale). Hawkins was an art director on all of these projects, with Hunter working as one of his set designers. Star Trek Nemesis set designer William Ladd Skinner was also an art director on Pirates.

Hunter also designed sets for The Number 23 (2007, starring Virginia Madsen). In addition, he was a set designer on the films Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Thirteen, working with Star Trek leadman Scott Bobbitt on both. On the latter, he worked with Star Trek art director Curt Beech and fellow Star Trek set designer Dawn Brown. He previously worked with Curt Beech on War of the Worlds (2005).

Star Trek was the second film Hunter worked on which starred Chris Pine; the first was Smokin' Aces (2006, with Joseph Ruskin and Maury Sterling). Star Trek was also Hunter's second film project executive produced by Jeffrey Chernov after Underdog (2007).

Hunter also worked as a set designer on Race to Witch Mountain (2009, starring The Rock and Ike Eisenmann. Hunter also served as an art director on The Informant! (2009, starring Star Trek: Enterprise regular Scott Bakula}.
