Bobby Chase (born 21 August 1962; age 62) is an editor who worked for Marvel Comics throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Chase was the editor for a number of Star Trek comic book series including:

Education[]

Chase holds a BA in English which she received from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She also studied English at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and studied design and illustration at the Parsons School of Design and the New School for Social Research.

Career[]

  • Chase began working for Marvel in the early '80s when she was hired as a freelance writer and designer. By 1985 Chase had been promoted to Assistant Editor of Marvel's Social Projects Department. In 1987 she was promoted to Editor, and stayed in the position until 1994.
  • In 1991 Chase moved briefly to Hasbro where she led a team creating the GI Joe Trading Card Series.
  • In 1994 she moved back to Marvel where she became Editor-in-Chief of the company's Marvel Edge program, which aimed to promote comic books towards older teens.
  • In 1995 Chase became Executive Editor of Marvel Entertainment, where she remained until 2001. She currently resides in Wappingers Falls, New York.
