Brad Zerbst (born 31 October 1958; age 60) is the actor turned camera operator who played a medical technician in the three Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episodes "Justice", "Heart of Glory", and "Skin of Evil".
Beside his work on The Next Generation, Zerbst was featured in episodes of Starman (1986, with Michael Cavanaugh and Marta Dubois), Murder, She Wrote (1987, with Fritz Weaver), and Highway to Heaven (1987-1988, with Basil Langton, Ellen Albertini Dow, Shelby Leverington, and David Cowgill).
In the early 1990s he moved into the camera and electrical department and worked as camera operator on projects such as the television movies Children's Miracle Network Telethon (1990), Richard Jeni: A Good Catholic Boy (1997), and Driven to Drink (1998), the drama Masked and Anonymous (2003, with Christian Slater, Reggie Lee, Tracey Walter, and Laura Renault, chief lighting technician Bruce McCleery, and grip Hootly Weedn), and the television series and reality programs Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998-2000), Survivor (2000-2001), Curb Your Enthusiasm (2001-2004), The West Wing (2005), Will & Grace (2006), Big Brother (2003-2008), Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show (2003-2012), Wheel of Fortune (2008-2010), and Real Time with Bill Maher (2006-2012).
For his work behind the camera, Zerbst received two Emmy Award nominations in the category Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video for a Series for Whose Line Is It Anyway? in 2001 and for Survivor in 2002. He won two Emmy Awards in the category Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special for Timeless: Live in Concert in 2001 and for American Idol: The Search for a Superstar in 2007. Between 2004 and 2012 he also received annually a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in the category Outstanding Achievement in Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control for his work on the talk show Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show for which he won the award in 2009.
Since 2011, Zerbst and his wife are the owners of B & J's Roadside BBQ, a catering service in Yorba Linda, California.
